This paper analyzes the structural strength evaluation of mover and the selection of sleeve material and interference value of high-speed linear motors for electromagnetic launch system under high acceleration. The stresses deformation of the mover and the frame are analyzed and calculated under different offset distances to find that the permanent magnet is vulnerable to damage and needs to be protected by sleeve. The structural strength under different sleeve materials and interference values is compared for future optimizations. On this basis, the electromagnetic field is coupled to the mechanical structure of the linear motors to evaluate the vibration and noise to verify that the skew-poles can attenuate the noise effectively.
